Annelinde (Linda) Metzner has been choir director at the UUCSV since 2008. Under her leadership, our choir has grown in size, in musicality and in pure fun! Linda is a composer, arranger, poet and music teacher who also directs Sahara Women's Peace Choir and founded the Asheville community chorus, Womansong.  She studied choral conducting at Furman University in Greenville, SC, and has a master's in music composition and theory from the University of South Carolina.

Our Sunday music program has expanded to include solos and small ensembles for Second Sundays, the second Sunday of the month, which Linda facilitates.  Along with longtime volunteer Sue Stone, Linda provides piano music at Sunday services, coordinated with the topic of the sermon.  Linda also maintains the UUCSV Quarantine Choir Youtube channel, featuring beautiful song videos made by the choir during the Pandemic.
